       Pathway to Freedom Ownership Transfer

After more than 28 years leading in-prison ministry, it was time to transfer ownership and leadership of "Pathway to Freedom (PTF)."  We are pleased to announce that the We Care Program ministry has graciously accepted the mantle of ownership of PTF.  Their ministry began in 1970 and has been heavily involved in PTF in both the men and ladies facilities.

We Care Program has assistant chaplains in many Alabama state prisons.  My prayer is that PTF will be able to expand under their leadership to even more prisons, disciplining even more men and women to be committed, Christ-followers.  Please visit their website at

Due to Covid-19, our efforts to establish a transition site have been closed.  We will try and connect those interested in finding a transition facility with one's we know are in operation.

May God bless you as you seek to obey His will for your life.

A Personal Reflection by Jim

"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:19)

The chill in the air was no match for the cold terror that gripped me as I entered the receiving area for Staton prison. Chain link fences with razor wire and locked gates now kept me separated from the life I knew. This new, unfamiliar world loomed over me as an invisible "Goliath" taunting me with fear and bone crushing despair.
